Dale began drawing as soon as she picked up a pencil at age four, working into other media as years passed. While writing remains the priority, art is always present for those times when characters prove elusive but the creative urge does not. Drawing, painting, papier mâché sculpture, art from found objects, and, most recently, magazine paper collage allow Dale a full range of expression. She doesn't sell her work so her home is her gallery. Living with her art brings great joy. Dale has no formal art training, just as she has no formal training in writing. She can't imagine being taught any of it as that would be an intrusion. And just as Dale enjoys the writing process, so does she enjoy the art process. It's the experience of creation that is the true reward.
